Chris Himmel, Individual and Group Coaching
M.A., Master of Applied Healing Arts; CTACC; Certified Grief Recovery Specialist;
Spiritual and Wellness Consultant; Ordained Minister chimmel@habanerafarm.com
For a coaching process that offers clarity, focus and support; teaching of techniques and skills for making the shifts necessary to bring harmony, balance, and awareness into lives.
Chris is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist who teaches ways of dealing with grief to move beyond loss ~ being able to laugh and cry.
As an Ordained Minister, Chris can help you find your words for the vows, help you choose what kind of ceremony you want, and walk both of you, your family, and your friends through a rehearsal of the ceremony.
She is also an adjunct faculty member at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly known as Tai Sophia Institute), Laurel, MD.
In 2000, Chris learned her partner of 16 years had terminal cancer. While caring for her and working as a Vice President of Technology of a Fortune 500 company, Chris and her partner received amazing caring, concern and nourishment from family, friends, health care workers and complete strangers. A year later, after the death of her partner, Chris acknowledged she was changed by what had happened in her life and knew it was time to give back. She went back to school and received her Master’s in Applied Healing Arts, moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and became a practitioner and teacher for those ready to take a step after major changes in their life, co-founded a retreat center and medicinal plant farm. She continues to expand her skills and offerings; receiving her Grief Recovery certification and Life Coaching certification. Chris thrives when helping others put in place practices for rediscovering stillness, joy and a sense of direction. Simply put, Chris thrives when helping others thrive.
